Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching? Coaching is a partnership with an individual or group in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. (ICF Definition)

What coaching process have you been trained in? I am a Certified Professional Coach and trained on the Core Energy Coaching process at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). The Core Energy Coaching process helps bring out the potential in a client, be it a person, couple, family or corporation. This process is done by emotionally connecting the clients’ inner purpose and passion to outer goals and strategies to bring about extraordinary and sustainable results. (iPEC)

What happens during the one-on-one coaching session? There will be two equally important aspects of our relationship going forward: 1. The time we spend in a session. Sessions are most commonly over the phone or Skype but can be in person (I am based in New York City). I work with your schedule to set appointments. In sessions I will work to ask you powerful questions to help you gain clarity and challenge you to find insight. 2. The time we have between our sessions. This is almost more important than the sessions themselves. Between sessions you will take steps to move forward with your new found knowledge and to stay accountable to yourself, and I will work to provide you any tools I have to help you on your journey.

How long are coaching sessions? Coaching sessions are typically 45 minutes per session depending on your schedule. But I am flexible and happy to set a schedule with you based on your needs. I will then stick to our schedule because I value both your time and mine.

What is your cancellation policy? If you need to reschedule a session I ask that you email or call me at least 24 hours in advance. To cancel your contract of sessions, my policy is to notify me in writing and verbally and then utilize up to 3 sessions to come to a resolution. Communication is key, so we will communicate openly if something isn’t working for you. If at that point, you want to cancel I will refund the unused portion of your contract.

Do you expect a commitment of a certain number of months? I prefer to have a 6 to 12 month commitment in order for you to get the most benefit and continuity. I have a money-back guarantee if you’re not satisfied after the first month, and any time after for any unused coaching sessions. Cancellation must be written as well as discussed at least 2 weeks in advance to see if whatever is giving you the thoughts of cancelling have been fully explored & discussed.

Can I email you between sessions? Yes! You can email me as much as you like. I enjoy hearing about your progress between our sessions. It also helps you because you don’t have to fill me in on your progress at the beginning of each session.

Do you have sessions in person? If convenient for both of us, I am happy to meet in person for our sessions as long as it is in New York City area, also because of travel time my rates are higher for in person sessions.

Is coaching confidential? Absolutely! Every word you speak in our sessions is solely between you and I. Even if coaching is sponsored by your employer or a parent, our relationship remains confidential.

Do you have a code of ethics? Yes, I follow the ICF code of ethics, found here: ICF Code of Ethics

Can you coach me via Skype? Yes!

How do I pay for the coaching or trainings? I accept Credit Cards, PayPal and individual checks.
